Τhe Special High School-Deaf-Hearing High School of Thessaloniki sings in the sign language a song of Giannis Haroulis

The Special School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of Thessaloniki participated in the 2nd Festival “Reflection of Disability in Art”, with the acronym RODI, organized by the University of Macedonia.

The Festival was held under the aegis of SA by the President of the Republic, Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulou and with the support of the Thessaloniki Film Festival.

The purpose of the festival was to promote art through the perspective of people with disabilities and the idea is based on the recognition of the inalienable human right to expression through Art.

“The Sign Choir”, the choir of the Special School of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of Thessaloniki, an alternative choir, which performs the songs not with speech and sound but with the use of sign language, presented with the accompaniment of the musical ensemble. SISTRON the song “Σου μιλώ και κοκκινίζεις”.

The performance of the songs in sign language and the teaching of the choir was done by the deaf philologist Matina Dritsa.
